Product Detail

The PERFECT affordable amp for club gigs, recording and band practice!

A lot has changed since the 1960s, but the guitar tones created in those pre-moon landing days still stand among the greatest. The BUGERA V22 is a stunning 1x12 combo that not only exudes that unbelievable sound, but also possesses modern flourishes capable of taking it to any corner of the musical landscape. Perfect for practice, home recording or small club gigs, this loud lad channels its mojo from two EL84 power valves. These give it the bratty, breakup-prone power amp compression (especially in triode mode – more on that later!) its 6L6GC-equipped siblings can only achieve at high volumes.

  • Hand-built 22-Watt guitar combo driven by 2 x EL84 valves
  • Way cool vintage look and feel
  • Original heavy-duty 12" BUGERA guitar speaker for true vintage sound
  • Authentic 2-channel preamp design from the '60s featuring 3 x 12AX7 valves—everything from purring blues to mind-blowing crunch
  • Integrated high-class reverb with dedicated Reverb control
  • Vintage Equalizer section with dedicated Bass, Mid, Treble and Presence controls
  • Normal and Bright inputs for ultimate sound character to perfectly match your guitar
  • Multi-gain stage Lead channel with Pre, Post gain and Master controls
  • Amazing Mode switch to select between Triode or Pentode operation
  • Impedance connectors (4, 8 and 16 Ohms) to match virtually any external speaker cabinet
  • High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long life

Great Tone, Great Price Dec 09, 2009
Reviewer: andrew w.
I grabbed this up in August. Since then, these have become hard to find. Matched up with a Fender American Strat with Texas Special p/u's, this amp was pure bluesy vintage overdrive. You can clean it up by backing off the gain in the first channel, and the tube tone really sparkles. You can boost mids too for a Clapton-esque tone. Now, start turning the clean "gain" up little by little and you can go straight from Chicken Picken to Hendrix.

The Dirty channel serves up a bunch of tones, too, but a bit more limited. Like most modern amps made overseas the dirty channel compresses a bit too much for my tastes. However, if you keep the "gain" on the dirty low (0-5), you really can dial in some screaming Jeff Beck/Yardbirds/Bluesbreakers british tones.

This amp had it ALL going on with a little dialing. Not for shredders or metalheads. This amp is one of the best kept secrets out there. Don't let this one go. I just had to (sadly) separate from mine for some holiday cash.

The digital reverb is very realistic. I only have other amps with spring or tube driven reverb and this reverb really responded to how hard you hit the guitar, like real reverb. I miss this so much.
