"DR the hand wound string. The strings are wound at a much slower rate. When strings are made, the metal is bent as it wraps around the core. Bending metal causes it to heat, especially when it is done very fast. Winding the strings slower reduces this heat which in turn reduces the expansion in the winding. This creates a much tighter wind. To you the player this mean much better sustain and tone. This string is designed for a smoother tone delivery for those looking for punchy, but not "twangy" sound. Great for blues and classic rock, but the metal players seem to love these too. This is truly a premium grade string for those looking for the ultimate tone out of their guitar."
