The sound of your snare drum is determined by your combination of batter head and snare side head. Evans has a wide variety of snare side heads that will compliment the sound of your batter head. The thicker the snare side head, the more focused the drum will sound, and the less snare response you’ll get. This general rule will help you achieve the right sound for the type of music you’re playing.
