My son's first guitar amp
|
June, 2011 |
Reviewer: Jim Caldwell From IN USA
Let me just say this...I thank the Goddz that your salesman suggested the headphones! Seriously, my boy loves being able to make his heavy metal sounds day and night. I think he must be turning the volume control all the way up though he tells me that he isn't. Either way, the thing must be built well because he hasn't blown it up yet. "Yet" being the operative word. Anyway, thanks to all at World Music Supply for making my son's summer, perhaps his year. Jim Caldwell

Great amp to find that metal sound you want
|
March, 2009 |
Reviewer: Edward O. From CA US
this amp is my second one, because i had a Line 6 Spdier III (15 watts) amp, and i bought that amp because i needed an amp at the time, but this amp is amazing. this picture isn't what you expect from the real deal, its all black, and has a metal grill over the speakers so make sure you read the details first. anyways this amp packs a punch for a small 12 - 15 watts amp, i have my master volume at 4 and its loud and sounds great. i'd definitely recommend getting this as a starter and practice amp, great distortion for blues or old school thrash metal, if you want to get a good muddy death metal sound you can pull it off, though it won't be what you expect from it, and its sounds great with or without the overdrive on. the clean channel sounds great, no effects on here but if you get the other combo amps or heads you get inputted digital effects.
over all, its a great starter and practice amp and cheap.
