Djembes, hand-carved with old world designs, honor the traditional African
approach to drum-making. The attention to quality and detail is striking and the
appearance is enhanced by a deep red stain. Authentic goatskin heads are secured
with a non-stretchable alpine rope with braided core. This combination produces
a rich bass tone (especially in the 10" and 12" sizes), with sharp, piercing rim
tones and ensures stable tuning.
