We encourage our international customers to read the following. Shipping globally involves certain aspects that necessitate some changes and restrictions in policy. Please read the following before inquiring about international purchasing.
Payment:
Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit card payment for orders where either the billing or shipping address is outside the USA or Canada. All international orders must be paid by non-refundable non-cancelable bank wire transfer. Please contact us to request a wire transfer form.
Shipping Costs:
Please e-mail or call us for an international shipping quote. The cost of shipping oversized items can be rather expensive. Just as an example, shipping a guitar to Western Europe typically runs $350-400. We use FedEx International Air for all international orders.
Special Terms:
We reserve the right to refuse any international order. Some manufacturers prohibit us from shipping their brands outside the USA including ESP, Fender, Yamaha, and others. All international sales are final. Due to the nature of shipping items outside the country, you assume all risks. Bank wire transfer orders are not cancelable or refundable. We are not responsible for delays in shipping. We are not responsible if an item becomes back ordered between stating availability and receiving a wire transfer. Do not send a wire transfer until you get a shipping quote from us, confirm the item is available for international shipping, and that you fully understand the product specifications voltage, etc. All items are manufacturers USA specifications. Customers sole remedy for items not available would be to wait for availability or selecting different items. Our corporate bank account has a block on any outbound electronic payments or transfers.
Customs & Duties:
All international orders are subject to the destination countries duties, taxes, and laws. Duties and taxes are not included in the price of the item and are established by the destination country. Duties and taxes (if applicable) will be collected at the time of delivery by the freight carrier. We do not have any information on your country's specific tax or duty. In the past, customers have asked us to write "gift" on the box or to declare a value considerably less than the actual value. We will not commit customs fraud, so please do not ask.
Alaska, Hawaii, & Shipments Outside the USA (including overseas military shipments):
Shipping outside the 48 US states involves risk if an item is damaged, defective, or lost. These risks are assumed by the customer. The customer's sole remedy shall be obtaining a shipping damage claim, warranty, or local repair service if no warranty coverage exist. The customer shall be entitled to not more than the insurance settlement if an insurance claim is paid. USPS will not insure any shipment for more than $499.00. The customer shall assume risk beyond $499.00 and any amount of claim up to $499.00 that a shipping company disputes or denies claim.
Shipping companies often dispute or try to avoid paying claims and pass blame. We have seen claims denied blaming the box, packing, size, or even claiming no box damage so they couldn't be at fault. We have see boxes torn completely open where all packing is lost, then they have denied a claim for it not having packing material. We want to be very clear that the customers sole remedy is limited to what ever is paid by the shipping company. The customer shall hold harmless and indemnify World Music Supply for any and all claims arising out of a transaction shipping or later taken outside the 48 US States.. We do not "pick up", "call tag", or pay for return shipping or replacement shipping under ANY circumstances. Choose carefully, and think before purchasing, this is an assumed risk, and absolutely no exceptions will be made.
Shipments will be held for 1 day prior to processing for the customer to review their order confirmation via email. The customer is responsible to read the email, confirm that they agree to the items listed and that nothing beyond what is listed shall be included. Discussions with a salesperson either via email or telephone are considered subjective, and opinions or assumptions about features or included items shall be solely based on the invoice. If there is an error, or any discrepancy in what the customer believes he should be getting that is not clearly listed in writing, or the customer does not receive the email, it is the customers responsibility to notify us prior to Noon EST the following day via telephone. Emails are not checked on any given schedule and shall not be considered notice of error or discrepancy. Manufacturers specifications are subject to change. If you want your item opened and inspected you must request so in advance in writing with your order and confirm that inspection is itemized on your confirmation. Please do not order if you do not accept these terms and risk.
