Ovation 1778T Description:
Rather than a single soundhole, the Ovation
1778T has 15 smaller holes on the upper bout which reduces the weight of the top
bracking with no loss of strenth. The result is a powerful acoustic sound with
incredible low end drive. The soundboard is solid Sitka spruce, quarter sawn and
air dried, then bookmatched into guitar tops. A hard dense walnut bridge with
pinless string loading translates string vibration in acoustic energy. Under the
saddle, a Thinline pickup for quick response and superior dynamic range.
The Ovation Elite Specials have a OP30 preamp.
Rich, bright and super quiet, the OP30 raises the bar in its class. Three bands
of eq plus the ability to shift the mid band to either a 450Hz or 970Hz gives
you complete control over your sound. There's also a Pre-Shape circuit that not
only lifts the bass and treble, but also reduces "rumble" from frequencies below
40Hz. And of course there's an on-board chromatic tuner. OP30 preamp features
Volume, Bass, 2 Mid EQs with Mid-Shift, Treble, EQ In/Out, Preshape tone
enchancement circuit In/Out, Notch Filter to reduce feedback, Tuner with Sharp
or Flat LEDs, and Battery indicators.
