1972 was a
magical year for the Telecaster® guitar. With several new designs, the
Telecaster guitar was available with more options than ever before. The ’72 Tele
Thinline features a warmer and rounder, semi-hollow alder or ash body (depending
on finish), “C”-shape maple neck, Bullet truss rod, ‘70s vintage hardtail
strings-through Strat® bridge, three-bolt neckplate, and two Fender® “Wide
Range” humbucking pickups.
