1972 was a
magical year for the Telecaster guitar. With several new designs, the Telecaster
guitar was available with more options than ever before. The ’72 Telecaster
Deluxe features an alder or ash body (depending on finish), “C”-shape maple
neck, Bullet truss rod, ‘70s vintage hardtail strings-through Strat® bridge,
three-bolt neckplate, ‘70s Strat headstock, two Fender® “Wide Range” humbucking
pickups, a traditional three-way switch and four skirted amp knobs.
