Returns - General
|
For holiday season orders placed after November 20th an extension will be allowed until January 10th of the following year.
At World Music Supply we offer a 30 day return policy. Items may be returned if received within 30 days from the invoice date for refund (less a 15% restocking fee). Orders placed after November 20th will be allowed an extension until January 10th of the following year. Most items may be exchanged without a restocking fee. Items must be in original new condition with all materials, paperwork, and accessories intact. Items that are modified in any way, worn, or are not in new/resalable condition, or if the manufacturer's packaging/box is destroyed, or not in reusable condition, may be refused refund or deducted up to a maximum of 50% at our discretion. Items that are abused, broken, or damaged may not be returned (this does not apply to shipping damage claims,
defective, or malfunctioning/warranty items).

We cannot and do not open and test every product before shipping, however,
we will gladly do so on any item shipped from our warehouse upon request for phoned
in orders. If you do not request to have your item inspected, you accept the cost of return
shipping if the item is defective.
In the event an item is returned for the same model for reasons of defect or damage,
and the like item is unable to ship due to back order after 30 days, the 15% restocking
fee shall be waived.
Occasionally we may offer a discount on an item (or free item) based on other
items purchased. In such a situation, all items must be returned together, or
such discounts shall be deducted from any partial return credit or refund.
IMPORTANT: We can only accept order cancelations or modifications via telephone (1-800-867-4611). This helps by ensuring that your order is able to be cancelled (i.e. hasn't already been shipped). Please DO NOT email us order cancelation or modification requests. Due to spam and other factors, email is no longer a reliable means of transmitting important information.

Return Policy -
Shipping
|
|
Shipping fees and return shipping costs are not refundable
or reimbursed for any reason except when you request prior to your order to have your items opened
and inspected by us before shipping. On occasion we might offer free shipping on an order.
If a free shipping order is returned, normal shipping rates will be deducted from any refund.
If you receive an item that you feel is defective, you may return it for inspection. If upon
inspection it is deemed defective, a replacement will be shipped free of
charge to you (48 lower US states only). If an item is determined not defective the buyer is responsible
for a 15% restock fee and return shipping.
We do not "pick up", "call tag", or pay for return shipping costs.
That is an assumed risk of mail order.

for information on damaged in transit, or incorrect items received. We cannot and do not
open and test every product before shipping. If you are outside the 48 US States, you
are assuming the risks and incur any and all shipping costs.

Product Specifications

Product specifications, images, and features are subject to change without notice.
Photographs are representative in nature and intended to provided a general representation
of the products and may show optional items not included. For the most current specifications,
please check with the manufacturer's web site or call ahead first. Often if a photograph is not
available of a certain color or feature, then a file photo of the same or similar model will be used
that is representative in nature.
The description and stock code will determine the color and items
included, not the photo.
Please note that colors can affected and even altered by your monitor and
its settings. A photograph online will never be identical to a photo, printout or visual.
There will likely be some variance in color due to the many variables of viewing photos online.
Trees are a product of nature that grow out of dirt. Like fingerprints, snowflakes, or people,
no two pieces of wood are alike. Wood will have unique traits such as darker or lighter grain color,
wider or tighter grain pattern, pin knots, bear claw, flaming, quilting, dark or unique grain lines,
other grain or color characteristics, and variences in color absorbtion and all of which are not deemed
as a defects, but rather uniqueness. We are not responsible for
manufacturer changes in a products specifications.

Return Policy -
Product Playability, Action, Setup
|
|
Musical Instruments (mainly guitars) are made of wood,
and are subject to acclimation (changes in climate).
Setup, playability, and "action" are subject to change by the very nature that
the climate, temperature, humidity, and other factors change when the instrument is
taken from one environment to another. Guitars can and often do require adjustment
upon arrival. When the neck of a guitar dries out, it pulls back and
can buzz, or when it is more humid it can relax the wood and the neck can pull forward
and the strings can be too high. Also if a guitar is not tuned to a proper "A, 440 hertz"
with a tuner and is pitched too low, it can buzz as well. We make no guarantee either
express or implied as to the playability of an instrument that is not adjusted
locally to your climate. We will gladly assist you with any
advice on adjustment, but can not make return policy exceptions based on
playability which is subjective. Guitars do need adjustment periodically,
especially when being purchased mail order.

Return Policy -Exclusions (non-returnable items)
|
|
Microphones (wireless or wired), CD players, tape recorders, and
all recording devices are exchange only for the same model if defective and returned within 30 days.
All copyrighted material including but
not limited to books, video, software, etc may only be exchanged only if defective for same title.
Unfortunately some items may not be returned and sale is final. Please choose carefully before
buying these items. Custom made items, special order items, closeouts, any
perishable item, batteries, wind screens, harmonicas, guitar strings, polish
chemicals or care products, drum sticks, drum heads, guitar pickups, light
bulbs, light gels, fog juice, fog machines that have been filled or parts are not returnable.
Drum sets that have been opened or assembled shall be charged a 20% restocking fee. Drum sets returned where the heads or cymbals show stick marks will incur a 50% restocking fee. Cymbals, cowbells, or other stick marked items must be sold as used, and will incur a 50% restocking fee. Choose carefully when buying these items. Guitars returned for refund will be charged $15.00 for re-stringing,
cleaning, and setup.
On occasion we may post an item
on an auction site. Any item purchase that is initiated through an auction site
is final and not returnable for any reason. Please see our
international
orders policy for other exclusions that apply to shipments outside the USA.

To Return an Item
|
|
Call toll free 800-867-4611 and please have the name of the cardholder,
your invoice number and stock codes of return items
when you call. Our shipping manager will process the request for RMA#. Upon
receiving your RMA#, package your item securely, and write the RMA# on the shipping label.
Do Not write it on the box as we can re-use the shipping box and not charge you for it,
however, any box received with the RMA# written on the box in a way that cannot be covered
up by a shipping label will be charged $3.00-$5.00 for the cost of the shipping box. Finally,
ship the item back to us via the carrier of your choice.
Remember when you return an item you are the shipper and it is your responsibility to properly
package and insure the item. If an Item is damaged in transit back to us, we cannot accept it for
return. It will be up to you to file a damage claim with the shipper you contracted.
If an item arrives without an RMA#, delivery will not be accepted.
Allow 2 weeks (from delivery at our location) for returns to be inspected, restocked,
and processed for refund. Refunds take up to 4 days to show on your credit card
once processed.

Additional Terms and Conditions

Customer shall be responsible for his or her own
actions in using this web site or purchasing from Sight & Sound Prod, Inc. DBA:
World Music Supply. In the event of an NSF, fraudulent, or closed account
check, or any instance where the customer disputes any credit card charges for
purchases where delivery was made, customer shall be responsible for all
collection costs, attorney fees, court costs, and all other cost associated
with collection. In the event an order is placed, and then shipment is
refused, customer shall be responsible for 15% restocking fee plus a $10.00 fee,
plus the UPS published rate for delivery and return to us. Any customer issuing
a bad check, or accepting a shipment, and then disputes the
credit card charges with their issuing bank will be immediately turned over to
a third party collection agency and incur additional fees.
Customer agrees by placing an order either over the phone,
electronically or through mail to all terms,
policies, and conditions contained within this web site. We are not responsible for errors in
pricing or specifications which can change at any time without notice.
In the event of a dispute, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable costs of collection including attorney’s fees, and court costs. The parties agree that in the event of a dispute between the parties, said dispute shall be filed in the State of Indiana in St Joseph County.
The transfer of
ownership occurs at the time Sight & Sound Prod, Inc. hands the merchandise to the
carrier for transport. After such time, the customer is entitled to our
return policy, and all manufacturers warranties. The customer shall
release and indemnify Sight & Sound Prod, Inc. its agents, affiliates,
employees, and suppliers from any and all liability including but not limited
to: Delayed shipment, delayed delivery, back order, malfunction,
defect, damages, injury or death from abuse or misuse, statements of
specifications or usability, estimations on shipment, or delivery time/date.
